Sri Meru Explorer
Sri Meru Explorer at sriyantra.io is a free interactive website for exploring Sri Yantra, also called Sri Chakra, in its three-dimensional Sri Meru form. It connects the geometry with Lalita Tripurasundari and introduces the sacred enclosures and Devīs through source-linked study layers.
A spontaneous idea
This personal project began with an idea that sparked spontaneously. For many years, I knew about Sri Yantra but knew nothing about Lalita Tripurasundari. Discovering that connection inspired me to learn and make this understanding accessible to more people.
What can you do here?
- Rotate and zoom a golden Meru, inspect it from above and select triangles and petals.
- Explore the nine avaranas, Khadgamala Stotra, Tithi Nitya Devīs and a separate Devas and directions layer.
- Hide the interface for a centred view of the model.
- Download a free Sri Meru STL model for personal use, 3D printing, worship or contemplation. Donations are optional.
Which Meru design is shown?
The model was edited to resemble the Devipuram Sri Meru, guided by reference photographs. It is an evolving visual study, not a measured replica or an official Devipuram publication. More designs from different traditions are intended for future exploration.
Sources and interpretation
- Khadgamala: names, qualities, mantra text and numbered placement maps from Khaḍgamālā Devīs of Devipuram, Tripurā Tallikā / Devipuram, September 2026. No artwork or photographs from that PDF are reproduced. The physical temple maps are adapted to this model.
- Tithi Nitya Devīs: pictures and iconographic summaries refer to the Amritananda forum discussion of the Tantrarājatantra, source Mike Magee. The layer also references the Srividya Learning Centre Tithi Nitya Devata Puja guide. Fifteen points around the uppermost triangle and central Mahānityā form a schematic study arrangement.
- Directional guardians: the separate study layer references Ekadasa Dikpalakas. Model-corner deities are identified separately from directional guardians.
Traditions and interpretations differ. Source notes distinguish the references from the model’s adapted placements. This website is an introduction and study tool; lineage-specific practices are traditionally learned from a qualified teacher.
Is the model free?
Yes. The STL download is free, with no donation required. Inspired by Sri Amritanatha’s teaching that the Goddess should be freely available, it is shared in that spirit. All donations support only further development of this application and its research and learning resources.
Ideas, corrections and contact
I welcome suggestions, useful feature ideas and corrections with supporting references. Contact liubomyr62@gmail.com. I would be happy if anyone offered puja or worship to this Meru.
I humbly offer this work and the fruits of this small effort at the lotus feet of Sri Satya Sai Baba.
